Galovinius is a well respected and original world for D&D.
Design [ 75% ]
Galovinius lacks of a better care with design and images, but perhaps you won't even note that flaw...
The whole page was designed just to exposed the world on the net, and then its faster for you to download their
netbook with all the info on the site, and take a look at the maps.
The maps are quite good but they may be too heavy to load sometimes. Other than that, the site is really easy to browse by, and
as it don't have so many images, you may browse very fast indeed.
Content [ 90% ]
There are many, many fantasy worlds on the net that have two basic flaws: No real, detailed content; And no originality at all.
Galovinius have not... If you decide to leave the download for later and browse by the site, you will notice that its way detailed.
Actually its so detailed that many ones may give up on read it (and then again some images along the way would help), but I suggest you to
stay on it and search deeply inside these lands.
There are introduction (they specify even the holidays!), timeline, factions of power, deities, cities (many cities), etc... Its not something
that you may cover in just one night, and perhaps its better to download it all to read later.
Originality [ 85% ]
Galovinius was really started from sketch. Its not based on any other D&D world (perhaps a little of Birthright), but of course its based on fantasy worlds.
Even then its hard to say which author inspired it more. Its a totally new experience to enter the Empire and discover so many details
that sometimes turns out to be real good ones.
Its always hard to explain why I give this or that rating on originality, because its very subjective... And I must say that its almost excellent, but have some
flaws as any other world, like the Tower of Wizardry (I mean, its cool, but every world have one :o). In another view, you might find the gods very original, particularly the evil ones. Enjoy yourself!
